On March 6, 2018, NSLDN submitted a FOIA request to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeking documents related to that agency’s efforts to protect veterans from abusive advertising, sales, and enrollment practices by institutions of higher education.

On August 3, 2018, NSLDN filed a lawsuit to enforce its rights under FOIA.

On November 14, 2018, the VA issued a final response letter, available here.
